Welcome to Village Life

Village Life is the community magazine for the three villages of Aston Clinton, Buckland and Drayton Beauchamp. It was established in 2011 as the successor to the former Parish magazine for the three churches of St Michael and All Angels, Aston Clinton, All Saints, Buckland and St Mary’s, Drayton Beauchamp. Its aim is to provide ‘Local Stories by Local People’ to the local community, to inform and entertain and to provide a place for local businesses to advertise at a competitive rate.

Village Life is published six times per year at the end of January, March, May, July, September and November. More than 2,700 copies are distributed free to every household in the three villages via a network of volunteers, and it is also available at the churches, various shops and pubs and the doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries.

Village Life is funded by its revenue from advertisers and with support from Aston Clinton Parish Council. The Production Team, a small group of volunteers led by the Editor, collects copy from the local churches, clubs, societies, charities and organisations as well as individuals with stories to tell, and collates them with the help of a professional graphic designer to produce, in full colour, a mix of news and views as well as a directory of local businesses and local organisations.

If you have a story to tell or would like to get involved, please get in touch.
